Homegame Tickets on sale today

Tickets for next years Homegame Festival, the annual Fence Records
Tickets have just gone on sale and are available to buy now from the Fence Records website priced at £75 each, you can buy them here. I have only ever been to one Homegame (this years) and would rate it as probably the nicest festival I have ever been to, loads of great bands, great food and the nicest crowd you are ever likely to meet.

"This being the seventh consecutive Homegame, the event takes a lucky twist – with King Creosote performing a new unreleased album – entitled My Nth Bit Of Strange In Umpteen Years – from start to finish. “Since the release of Flick The Vs in April I’ve written 10 new songs for an album that, for various reasons, I’d rather not record and release in the usual way. Instead I’ve come up with this idea of a live album, and together with Fence drummer Captain Geeko, I performed My First Bit Of Strange In 13 Years in its entirety at the Fence Hallowe’en weekend in front of an invited audience. The members of this audience were asked to record the show for themselves on battery powered equipment, and at my behest these recordings have since been passed around in the hope that they present a poor substitute for the show itself.” Over the Homegame weekend, KC will perform the entire album SEVEN times, in a small hall – and ticket holders will be given a specific show to attend. These shows will, collectively, be the only King Creosote set over the weekend. “This new album will naturally evolve over time, and My Second/Third/Fourth … Eighth Bits Of Strange In 14 Years will all be performed at Fence Homegame7 by King Creosote with various special guests. That’s seven performances for 40 people at a time over the course of three days. And if recording the show for yourself scares you, we might well have a fortifying wee dram for you during the interval.”
Yep, KC vows never to officially record this album – however, he insists that you do!

As a condition of entry, each person in attendance MUST have a device with which to record the performance. Whether it be by dictaphone, mobile phone, or even a portable studio (!), you won’t be allowed into the KC show without one. And … as these will be your own recordings, KC encourages you to share them in which ever way you please!"
